A GUIDE TO PAINTING BASICS......
Painting can be defined as a mode of creative expression and can be seen as the practice of applying paint pigments, color or other medium to a solid face with the aid of brush or other implements.
Painting can also be naturalistic and representational i.e (In a still life or landscape painting).
A portion of the history of painting in both Eastern and Western Art is demonstrated by spiritual motifs and ideas.
In Art, painting describes both the act and the results of the action. The term painting is also used outside art as a common trade among builders and craftsmen.
Painting can be done in a variety of media. For examples; Oils, Watercolors, Tempera, Gouache, and acrylics. Paints are made from a pigment and a binder. Binder is relatively cheap, While pigments is much more expensive. Pigments are colored powder, made from organic or inorganic materials.
